Good Morning Watershed Explorers,
It looks to be a cold, but beautiful day outside. I am pretty sure I just saw the sun poke its head out for a minute too! I hope that you will take a break from your learning and get out and enjoy some fresh air. The birds are chirping, the frogs are singing, and there is so much to enjoy outside in the spring.
I wanted to highlight my friend Jacob from Oaklawn Elementary once again. He is doing a great job getting outside with his family and even made his own nature critter the other day. I know that some of you are also getting outside and I would love to hear your stories. Thank you so much to Jacob and his mom for sending these great photos of their visit to Snake Den. Jacob's mom notified me that when they were leaving Snake Den the other day, they noticed that there was a sign saying that it's now closed. The state has closed some local parks to ensure that Rhode Islanders practice proper social distancing, so just look for a sign letting you know if the park or trail is still open.
Here are some of the great photos that Jacob's family took on their hike. I can't thank Jacob and his mom enough for sharing them with me. Keep up the awesome exploring Jacob and thank you so much for getting outside!
Have a great day Watershed Explorers!
