Good Morning Watershed Explorers,
As always, I hope that this post finds you all doing well. The weather has started to get a bit cooler, which is perfect for exploring! The bugs aren't biting so much, and because it is still fairly warm, lots of critters, especially frogs and turtles are out and about warming up their bodies in the sunshine!
Go exploring and when you return, try this fun activity:
This little guy to the left is a wood frog. You can easily tell it's a wood frog by the distinct dark brown marking around its eye. These frogs are super cool as they can freeze most of their body solid during the winter. This frog was taking a dip in my neighbors pool. We pulled him out so the chlorine wouldn't hurt him!
