Fun With DEM

Good Morning Watershed Explorers,

I wanted to share DEM's Division of Fish and Wildlife's Wild Rhode Island Explorer summer edition with you. There is a great spotlight on the barn owl in this issue as well as many other fun activities. http://www.dem.ri.gov/programs/bnatres/fishwild/outreach/wildlife/wild-explorer-su20.pdf

The Division of Fish and Wildlife is also hosting a virtual presentation on native turtles. If you are interested, you can sign up for the presentation, which will take place on June 24th from 4:00-4:45, by emailing langworthylibrary@gmail.com

Click here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InjtoL5O09w if you would like to get a head start learning about turtles, as well as complete a very cool turtle craft!

The Department of Environmental Management's Division of Fish and Wildlife is a great resource if you are interested in learning about many of Rhode Island's native wildlife species. Here is a link to access their website http://www.dem.ri.gov/programs/fish-wildlife/

I hope you will take a minute to check out some of these cool programs, and get out and explore some areas where you might be able to catch a glimpse of a live turtle. There is no better educator than nature itself.

Much love Watershed Explorers! I hope you enjoy another amazing day!
