Good Morning Watershed Explorers,
"Love and peace of mind do protect us. They allow us to overcome the problems that life hands us. They teach us to survive . . . to live now . . . to have the courage to confront each day." Bernie Siegel
There is so much uncertainty happening in our world right now that even the most courageous person might want to hide in bed with the covers pulled up. It's important to remember that finding a few peaceful moments each day can help give us the energy we need to rise and conquer.
In my inbox this morning was a fantastic nature video shared by the show Nature, which is featured on PBS. Here is a link to check out the 16 minute video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elYL6z1_eFs The show features nature footage with nature sounds, there is no music or commentary. I find some of the most peaceful moments to be sitting out on my deck with just the birds, frogs, and insects creating a beautiful chorus around me. This is difficult lately, with two young children running around all day, but I try to find peace in those few moments I can spend with nature. I also bring my children along, it isn't always voice-free but even if we are talking, it always seems just a little more quiet when we are sharing time with nature.
Nature may not be your way to find peace, so I encourage you to find what is. It could be in reading a book, taking a walk, riding your bike, or yoga. There is so much that can bring peace, and in these days when we need it more than ever, I hope that you can find yours.

Much love and peace,
Mrs. Morissette
